I think it's safe to say that talented student athletes are far and few. Statistics show that out of the thousands of student athletes, "Fewer than 2 percent of NCAA student-athletes" become professional athletes.
As a former athlete who competed at a pop warner, high school and the armed forces, I've grown up with, played against and personally know a hand full of these talented athletes.
After reading the Phinix Understanding Classes and Test document, I was dumbstruck by the simplicity of literally reading a roadmap that all but spoon feeds you the process of making sure your student athlete has an advantage over other student athletes who aren't familiar with the intricacies of the processes of going to the next level, and rely on others to take care do it for them, which can lead to a less than desired outcome.
There's no reason to rely on or pay others others to do it for you. Don't leave your student athletes future in someone else's hand!
Simply put, apply the written process to your student athlete's regular regime of preparing them for the next level and take the guess work and headache out of the process. Any parent, coach or school counselor should be able to read and assist with the process.
As an example, I just read of a 16 year old soccer player signed to a professional contract in New England. This is a perfect example of the oddity of today's talented student athletes. Do you think that happened on its own? If you do, you'd be dead wrong! Do the right thing, prep your talented student athlete and line it up so they can slide into the next level of competition when the opportunity arrises.
For all you student athletes out there..........., it's your time to shine, go get!
